# Numerical Solution

If however we solve the system numerically (using your chosen software) then we can see some interesting things. First let us set up the population. If we have our initial conditions as follows then we can plot the number of predators and the numbers of prey.

If we increase the initial number of prey to 20 then the plot changes.

This plot has the same pattern of oscillation but the numbers are different. In this case the predators don't drop as much and the numbers of prey don't get as high.
