Desizing

The desizing process is carried out to remove the sizes and other substances applied on warp yarns to facilitate the weaving process. For effective desizing, different desizing means such as enzymes, oxidising agents, acid desizing or hot washing may be used, depending on the type of sizing agents. The desizing process is essential to ensure that dyes and finishes will bond to yarns.
