Organic chemistry as chemistry with the element Carbon!
Organic chemistry defines the structures, properties, and reactions of an enormous array of molecules (organic compounds). The ability of the carbon atom to bind to four other atoms results in an amazing versatility among organic compounds and is also, among other factors, responsible for the importance of the organic compounds.
